MemChu

MemChu [mem•choo] n. Memorial Church, an ornate façade interdenominational church located centrally in the (main) Quad; it was designed by Jane Stanford as a memorial to her husband Leland (Senior) and remains an instantly recognizable campus icon and tourist & event hot spot, while still operating as a functional "house of worship." *also var., Mem Chu.
