ScrewU [skrew•yoo] n. an unofficial logo of the Stanford University Men's Crew (SU Crew) or rowing team, rendered so that the capital letters S and U appeared as oversized bookends flanking the small-caps word crew. (See image example below.) Spotted on squad T-Shirts circa 1988, it formed a double-entendre, implying a flip-off of those who doubted the Crew's rowing prowess while also serving as an off-color nickname for the University (Screw U or Screw University). *ex., Those crew guys are notorious sex fiends, no wonder they enrolled at Screw U. *note: Nerds always have sex on the brain, a la ADIDAS (All Day I Dream About Sex) and crew is one of the nerdier athletic programs.
