SSFTEOTSOLTCMC
SSFTEOTSOLTCMC [something·something·something] n. Stanford Students For The Eradication Of The Scourge Of Late-Twentieth-Century Market Capitalism, a joke term from The Stanford Flipside (a humor webzine) that accurately pokes fun at the Stanford penchant for verbosity, for making an acronym of everything and for adopting high-brow causes to aid the little man all while attending an expensive prestigious private university. *usage note: while not in active usage (it's a parody) the term is an exemplar of Stanfordese and contributes to an understanding of the language's development. *ref: first appeared in: Year 11, Issue 1, NO. 298.
